Copeland Furniture means sustainability!

I found this cool video about Copeland Furniture, one of our favorite vendors! They are out of Vermont, and have been into sustainable furniture building since the 70's.  Their Lumber come from within 500 miles from the factory, and works with suppliers who can certify that the wood they purchase from them comes from forests that are not threatened, do not have high conservation significance, do not contain genetically modified trees.
Copeland is also part of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).  The Trademark of the FSC indicates that the wood used to make the product comes from a forest which is well managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards. The forest of origin has been independently inspected and evaluated according to the principles and criteria for forest management agreed and approved by the FSC. FSC is an international, non-profit association whose membership comprises environmental and social groups and progressive forestry and wood retail companies working in partnership to improve forest management worldwide.
For 32 years, Copeland Furniture has sought to stay loyal to its mission to produce furniture for discerning consumers who have an appreciation for good design, quality, and value. Copeland has also worked hard to stay loyal to the New England tradition of quality craftsmanship. Their work ethic embraces the belief that continuous improvement is ultimately what best serves the customer.
